Durable Solutions

The National Commission for Refugees, Migrants, and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI) is committed to achieving sustainable outcomes for refugees, migrants, and internally displaced persons (IDPs) through its Durable Solutions program. This initiative focuses on creating long-term strategies that restore stability and dignity to displaced individuals and their communities.

What Are Durable Solutions?

Durable Solutions aim to address the challenges faced by displaced persons by enabling them to rebuild their lives in a safe, dignified, and sustainable manner. The Commission works in alignment with international frameworks to ensure these solutions meet global standards.

Voluntary Repatriation: Supporting displaced individuals who choose to return to their places of origin voluntarily, safely, and with dignity.

Local Integration: Facilitating the integration of displaced persons into host communities, allowing them to become self-reliant and actively contribute to their new environments.

Resettlement: Assisting individuals and families in relocating to a third location where they can find safety, stability, and opportunities for growth.
