She recalled that the time-frame for the action plan for the implementation of the National Migration Policy has elapsed, hence a review is set to take place. She said the expectation of this review was to take cognizance of the governance structure as enshrined in the National Migration Policy which will offer the opportunity to incorporate emerging and current migration realities in Nigeria as well as integrate the Valletta Action Plan into the national implementation strategy. As expected, the various thematic groups presented reports of activities carried out. Lawal Hamidu expressed the unreserved gratitude of the Federal Commissioner for the EU-IOM initiative in supporting the meeting and for their commitment and consistency in assisting Nigeria in achieving better migration management.
