Public Lecture to commemorate the 2018 World Day Against Human Trafficking
National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI) was represented at a public lecture in commemoration of the 2018 World Day Against Human Trafficking organized by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) in collaboration with Daily Times Nigeria. The event which held at Chelsea hotel, Abuja was attended by the Federal Commissioner, NCFRMI represented by the Director, Refugees and Migration, Amb. Lawal Hamidu. Also, the representatives of the First Lady of the Federation, the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister Justice, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the Economic Community for West African States (ECOWAS) etc were present. An official slogan “ensuring human trafficking free nation” was launched by the NAPTIP Director General, Barrister Julie Okah-Donli. She emphasized the dangers that human trafficking pose on public health and well-being, and called on all nations to make tackling the menace their concern.
